Kim Kardashian’s Tiny Waist at Bezos’ Wedding Sparks Rib Removal Rumors

It’s no billionaire wedding without a celebrity stir, and Kim Kardashian brought the buzz. As Venice hosts Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish nuptials, Kim arrived ready to dazzle.

Her strikingly small waist, however, fueled rumors of surgical rib removal to sculpt her iconic hourglass shape. Kim Kardashian’s tiny waist turned heads in Venice. The reality star joined the Italian city’s festivities for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding.

As images spread online, so did renewed chatter about Kim possibly having ribs removed. She’s addressed these claims before in an interview.

Kim was spotted Thursday with sister Khloé, riding a water taxi and strolling to the Gritti Palace hotel. The Skims mogul wore a black Balenciaga maxi skirt paired with a Maison Margiela bandeau top, a sporty hoodie draped over her arms like a shawl.

Khloé rocked a leopard-print catsuit from Kim’s Skims x Dolce & Gabbana line. The sisters mingled with other celebrities in Venice for the extravagant billionaire wedding.

As photos hit the internet, Kim’s ultra-slim waist reignited old rumors about the mother-of-four surgically removing ribs to achieve her famous silhouette. “She’s had bones removed again,” one user speculated online.

Another wrote, “Kim got ribs removed to shrink her waist years ago.” A third quipped, “Everyone needs waist surgery for a wedding.” The lavish event faced protests from Venetian locals.

Kim has faced rib removal rumors before, notably after her 2019 Met Gala appearance in a Thierry Mugler minidress. Online critics claimed, “It’s absurd to say this is from a vegan diet, not rib removal.” Kim dismissed the speculation that year, telling WSJ Magazine, “I don’t even know if that’s a thing.” She admitted the tight dress caused intense pain, saying, “I’ve never felt pain like that. The marks on my back and stomach were unreal.” Her trainer, Melissa Alcantara, defended her, posting on Instagram, “Kim trains her ass off 6 days a week, waking up early, fully committed.”

The billionaire wedding unfolded amid local protests, with life-size Jeff Bezos mannequins appearing across Venice in defiance of the $42 million event, even forcing a venue change. Kim’s 2024 Met Gala look—a silver brocade corset by John Galliano for Maison Margiela—also sparked similar rumors. “It’s not as bad as it looks,” she said on The Kardashians, joking, “God bless the Bridgerton cast wearing this daily.”

Kim’s waist has long fascinated fans. In a 2018 video, Kourtney Kardashian marveled, “Your waist is so tiny, but your hips are huge.” Kim replied, “It’s never been 24 inches ever,” noting her hips measured 39 inches. While Kim denies rib removal, the procedure, called costectomy, exists for aesthetic or medical reasons but carries risks like organ exposure. Last year, Jada Sparks spent $19,000 on rib removal for a Kim-like waist, telling Mirror US, “I feel the gap where the ribs were, but I love the result.”
