Pop-punk sensation Machine Gun Kelly, born Colson Baker, recently stirred intrigue by suggesting he might have extraterrestrial roots. During a candid chat on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 35-year-old mused about his identity after Cohen noted his youthful appearance.
“I don’t know if my age… I don’t know if it exists,” MGK quipped, sparking a conversation that veered into UFOs and alien ancestry. The musician’s cryptic comments left fans buzzing about his origins.
“I just don’t know many facts about my life,” he admitted. “Like my skin, if it rips open, it heals really quick.” These peculiarities led him to question his lineage.
MGK half-jokingly wondered, “Who’s my dad?” Official records name his father as James Colson Baker, but the star’s doubts fueled cosmic speculation.

Born in Houston, Texas, to Christian missionary parents, MGK’s childhood was nomadic. He lived in Egypt—learning Arabic before English—Kenya, Germany, and various U.S. states like Colorado and Ohio.
He’s previously described his father as “extremely religious and extremely strict,” even restricting how he held a pen. But now, MGK playfully entertains the idea that his dad might not be earthly.
When Cohen asked if he believed he came from another planet, MGK didn’t hesitate. “Yeah, I’ve asked my mom, ‘Was there any period of time you went missing, like off the Earth?’”
He added, “She told me she felt like she got abducted at one point.” The revelation sent fans into a frenzy online.
One social media user quipped, “The next time someone asks me my age, I’m gonna say I don’t know. My mama may have had an affair with an extraterrestrial being.”
Another joked, “He doesn’t have a birth certificate? That would help.” MGK’s claims left the internet grappling with his wild theory.

On a grounded note, MGK shared why he passed on an audition for the vampire horror film Sinners. The movie, grossing $366 million, follows mobster twins facing vampires in 1932 Mississippi.
He revealed on The Pat McAfee Show that the audition required him to use a racial slur, which he refused. “I wouldn’t [say the n-word],” he stated firmly.
Despite missing Sinners, MGK’s film career has flourished. He played Felix in Netflix’s Bird Box and appeared in The King of Staten Island and Project Power alongside Jamie Foxx.
“I have a lot of aspirations to be in movies,” he said. “It’ll align. The angels will put something in the works,” hinting at more cinematic ventures to come.
