Park Bom’s Shocking $4.5 Quadrillion Lawsuit Claim Against YG Entertainment CEO Sparks Agency Response

South Korean K-pop star Park Bom recently stirred controversy by claiming she was suing Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO of YG Entertainment, for an astronomical sum.

The former 2NE1 member posted a now-deleted Instagram photo of a document listing her as the plaintiff and Hyun-suk as the defendant.

The document alleged she was seeking 64,272,000,000,000,000 won, roughly equivalent to $4.5 quadrillion, a figure surpassing South Korea’s GDP of 2.61 quadrillion won.

Bom accused Hyun-suk of fraud and embezzlement, claiming she was owed profits from her time with 2NE1.

Her agency, D-Nation, quickly addressed the situation, stating that all settlements related to Bom’s 2NE1 activities were already resolved.

D-Nation clarified that the lawsuit document shared on social media was not officially received.

The agency also noted that Bom has paused all activities to focus on her health and recovery.

D-Nation emphasized their commitment to supporting Bom’s well-being during this period.

The controversy follows 2NE1’s highly publicized reunion under YG Entertainment in 2024 for their 15th anniversary.

The group, known for blending hip-hop, reggae, and electronic music, originally disbanded in 2016.

The Welcome Back Tour, featuring original members CL, Sandara Park, Minzy, and Bom, ran from October 2024 to April 2025.

In August 2025, D-Nation announced Bom’s withdrawal from 2NE1’s future performances due to medical advice for rest.

Formed by YG Entertainment in 2009, 2NE1 debuted with their hit single “Fire” after appearing on BigBang’s “Lollipop.”

By 2014, 2NE1 had achieved nine number-one hits on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart, a record for a girl group at the time.

The group split after Minzy’s departure, releasing their final single “Goodbye” in 2017.

A surprise reunion performance at Coachella in 2022 paved the way for their official reunion last year.

YG Entertainment, which also manages global sensation Blackpink, has not yet commented on Bom’s allegations.
